Synopsis[]
In “DC League of Super-Pets,” Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. Trivia[]
- The movie includes a number of references to Superman (1978):
- The opening on Krypto is designed and staged as a homage to that film's opening.
- Krypto's hologram of his father looks just like Superman's hologram of his father Jor-El from the film.
- Clarie Kent wears glasses with reddish colored rims, the same glasses he wears in the film.
- John Williams's famed theme can be heard on the soundtrack whenever Superman is in action.
- This is the second DC title to base around Superman's dog after "Krypto the Superdog".
- After WarnerMedia were merging with Discovery to Warner Bros. Discovery, it is the first Warner Animation Group film with Warner Bros. Discovery byline label.
- The second Warner Animation Group film to be in co-production with DC Entertainment, after The Lego Batman Movie, released five years prior.
- Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz play the ice and fire powered Guinea pigs respectively. The two comedians have collaborated together many times, including their series on Netflix on their long-form improv skits, titled "Middleditch & Schwartz".
- This is the first Warner Animation Group film to be produced in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio since Scoob.
- Both of Sonic the Hedgehog's voice actors are in this movie. Ben Schwartz (the voice of Sonic in the live action Sonic movies) playing as Mark while Jason Griffith (the voice of Sonic from 2005-2010 and in Sonic X) providing additional voices under the loop group.
