For example, I bought a scarf for 500 lira (after bargaining) at one shop, only to find the same scarf selling for 250 lira just a few minutes away, so shop around!Some standout items were the beautifully crafted ceramics and the intricate carpets. The spice shops are a sensory delight with their vibrant colors and exotic aromas. The bazaar can be quite crowded, but that just adds to its experience.I would highly recommend checking the outdoor surrounding shops as they seemed cheaper in some cases for the same items.

Grand bazaar Istanbul is a great experience variety of shops. You need a plenty of time to explore the bazaar. Some items have good quality but high prices. Shop keepers judge you by your wearings, language and speaking accent. They memories some words or small sentences of different languages to identify your country that they can increase the prices 😂🤣.

This place is everything you expect and more. Very busy place and hundreds of shops. I believe there are 21 gates/entrances and it is very easy to get lost but you should just go with the flow and not care about that and enjoy the wander.

The people of the area are very nice. The shops are convenient, and fast. They have good quality products and employees are very nice in my perspective. Gold, jewellery, shoes, and clothes are easy to find and very extravagant. Although there is inflation going on, and prices have changed, it is a really good place to visit.

A good place to visit, although very busy and a lot of generic products sold - I was hoping for more unique things and craftsmanship. Not too sure if the products (leather and jewellery) are real or fake. I added some pictures of the good things I saw.

Iconic historic and a must visit on your trip to Istanbul. Endlessly winged corridors of beautiful merchandise. You can bargain as many items seemed quite overpriced in comparison to Taksim Square Market. But the good news is you can bargain. The men are ready to charm you with their salesmanship so getting lured to buy a lot is a possible. There are also beautiful eateries inside and washrooms (crowded and messy) but as it takes hours to explore the entire market you can safely keep half a day and your lunch plan inside the market. It opens at 7am and closes at 7pm. I was quite impressed by their collection of tea, coffee and Egyptian cotton clothes. All the shops boast of shipping options so carpets too are quite lucrative.

They still kept the old and vintage designs in some space but some other parts became very fashion and stylish which is not pleasant.Prices are high in touristic parts, always negotiate before than purchasing for anything!It is safe but very crowded, but after all you rarely can see pickpocketing.

This place is trully unique! It has so many stores inside and everything screams bargain. You have so many choices in there but the bargain is necessary. Everyone is polite enough but money oriented. Great experience nevertheless and make sure you got at least 3 hours prior visiting.

If you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist! The Bazaar in Istanbul is 4000+ vendors ‘under one roof’! Everything from incredible Turkish delight to the finest Lambskin Leather jackets all wrapped up in exciting and vibrant surroundings. The prices are more than competitive but the best deals require some ‘haggling’, it’s not only acceptable, it’s expected! Plan to spend some time, there is a great deal to see and do. They all take credit cards but for the best deals use cash and don’t worry they will take most currencies.

As all Market places this is no exception apart from being Big Big Big.I Love it and all its many passages leading to different segments of products,the bustling can be a bit of a problem for those who dont like crowds. On general the vendors are very very fair play ,they are there to sell and it is all part of the visit.

I’m not exaggerating—they were everywhere. We did manage to find a quieter spot to eat outdoors without the company of flies, but at another spot we passed, people were sitting at tables while their meals were literally covered with flies. I was absolutely stunned.Despite this, if you’re a tourist, I’d still recommend visiting just for the experience. A highlight for us was the cultural wear photoshoot—definitely a fun way to capture the moment and immerse yourself in the local vibe.

Great place with soo many shops. Make sure you allocate half a day minimum to see most of it. There’s a lot of shops selling great replicas but still pricey. Look around and you’ll find something you like but don’t go spending instantly. Most of the shops have the same stuff so bargain for a reasonable price. Support the vendors as it’s a great place. I asked for baklava and ended up with Turkish Delight at one store.

Great expirience for people who love to bargain and for those who never tried. You learn it here very fast.No.1 are bags, shoes and gold, everything else is No.2. You can buy anything you want and need or not. Good quality of scarfs and pashminas made of silf, cashmere or both. High quality jewlery and leather.

An absolutely stunning historical place... must visit! but..don't shop too much there, just go out of the bazaar and around it and you'll find much much lower prices. Unless you look for something very specific and old like jewellery and antiquities (and you are good in recognizing them). in that case loose yourself in the narrow streets of gran bazaar and enter the tiny shops full of historic pieces

Like a flea market and sweet / spice market. You can get a few interesting herbal teas, local baklava, Turkish delights, souvenirs then as you exit this part comes the clothes flea market. It's all repetitive just who you want to buy from and where you think you got a good rate. Please Note prices are all made up its a complete free for all.Example bought a red has 200 lira went 4 shops down same hat 65 lira. Turkish nut bowls price 250 at the shop negotiated to 180 per felt good bought 5 went to another shop same bowls starting at 75 each pre negotiating. So yea I think you get the point expect the unexpected if you have time taken it before buying so yo get an all round idea and hit a median price.You'll find mix shopkeepers from extremely rude to extremely friendly. I fail to understand the overall attitude of customer service in Turkey.

I visited the Grand Bazaar while on a free tour with Turkish Airlines. It's a big flea market with so many store. Most of it are jewelry store, spices or crafted gifts store but it's worth at least a visit

If you want to experience Istanbul markets, the crazy number of lines of shops, you must visit grand bazaar. However, tip from my side, search for a map with different types of stuff being sold, like 1 row gold only another carpets or sweets. It is better. Otherwise you will end up looking at same kind of shops. Also map is good if you want to buy specific things.
