Program Highlights

Georgia State’s Department of Biology is home to the Program for Undergraduate Research in the Life Sciences. In spring 2020, the department will offer five Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experiences. Each of these laboratory courses will focus on a specific research area in which undergraduates conduct experiments in molecular parasitology, microbial ecology, behavioral endocrinology, urban water quality, and vertebrate development. Thanks to our innovative and talented faculty, offerings may vary each semester. Previous topics have also included metagenomics and microbes, fermentation ecology, and flow cytometry.
